Accident & Injuries
Attorney-Focused Business Model
Modern Law Ecosystem is a legal operations and infrastructure platform designed to support attorneys — not replace them. Our Personal Injury Lane is built for attorneys who want to expand into PI (or level up their current PI practice) without drowning in records, billing, and insurer delay tactics. You keep control of legal judgment and settlement authority. We bring the infrastructure that makes PI actually scalable.

What We Are / What We Provide
• Paralegals-as-a-Service (fractional or matter-based)
• Records and billing retrieval workflows (medical, EMS, imaging, pharmacy, employment)
• Research-as-a-Service (jurisdiction-specific case law, statutes, regulations, industry standards)
• Drafting support and workflow support (attorney review required)
• Intake and matter triage (non-legal; routing and organization only)
• Technology and process infrastructure (timelines, trackers, demand packet builders)
• Language-enabled intake and document handling support

We are not a law firm and we do not represent clients.

What You Control
• You control legal strategy and legal judgment. Period.
• You decide what cases to accept, what experts to retain, and what litigation posture to take.
• You communicate directly with your clients and make settlement decisions with your clients.
• You review, approve, sign, and file all demand letters, pleadings, and submissions.
• You supervise all paralegal and support work related to your matters.

Why PI Is Hard for Small Firms (And Why Many Walk Away)
• Medical records and billing: slow providers, incomplete sets, inconsistent formatting, and constant follow-up
• Insurance games: delayed responses, shifting adjusters, endless “send it again” requests
• Timeline coherence: treatment gaps, pre-existing conditions, and documentation mismatches that get weaponized
• Demand quality: demands that lack exhibits, objective findings, or a clean damages picture get low offers
• Multi-state friction: trucking defendants, corporate insurers, and venue/service issues outside your backyard
• Catastrophic injury complexity: experts, life care planning, and technical damages proof

Core Deliverables We Help You Produce
Operational products you can plug into your PI practice (attorney review required):
• Case Chronology and Treatment Timeline (incident → symptoms → care → diagnostics → restrictions)
• Damages Packet (medical bills summary, wage loss summary, out-of-pocket proof, future damages inputs)
• Liability Packet (reports, witness list, photos/video index, preservation letters, defendant identity map)
• Demand Packet Builder (cover letter draft, exhibit list, key records, billing summaries, narrative support)
• Litigation Starter Packet (draft fact pattern, draft allegations, witness/evidence map, discovery target list)

Operational Capabilities (PI Lane)
Records and billing collection:
• Provider list build-out and authorization packet preparation
• Request tracking by provider and date-of-service with follow-up cadence
• Imaging retrieval coordination (disc links, radiology reports, impression vs. full read)
• Billing consolidation and itemization tracking; EOB/PIP/MedPay documentation when applicable
• Medical record indexing and key-document flagging for attorney review

Insurance and defendant communications (attorney-directed, non-negotiation):
• Claim file organization, correspondence indexing, and status reporting
• Administrative transmission of records/authorizations and factual updates using attorney-approved templates
• Adjuster contact logs and response tracking (no valuation or settlement negotiation by MLE staff)

Pre-suit packet and demand preparation (attorney review required):
• Pre-demand case evaluation packet (facts, liability theory, damages snapshot, red flags and missing proof)
• Demand package assembly with exhibits, timelines, and damages summaries
• Drafting support for demand letters, preservation/spoliation notices, and records authorizations
• Comparable verdict/settlement research support (jurisdiction-specific; attorney decides valuation)
• Lien and subrogation tracking support (Medicare/Medicaid/ERISA/private liens — attorney-managed decisions)

Litigation build-out support (attorney review required):
• Pleadings and discovery drafting support consistent with your jurisdiction and style
• Fact pattern building for complaints and interrogatories based on verified timelines
• Exhibit and medical chronology binders for deposition or trial preparation
• Expert coordination support (scheduling, organized record delivery, document sets)

Investigation, Experts, and Ecosystem Reach
• Accident investigators and scene documentation support (where available)
• Accident reconstruction or biomechanics consultants (as retained by counsel)
• Background and prior-claim research support (public records, prior accidents, prior treatment — attorney-directed and lawful)
• Medical literature and injury-mechanism research support (TBI, spine, orthopedic injury patterns)
• Multilingual document handling and interview support (Spanish, Russian, Haitian Creole)

Trucking and Interstate Cases: Where We Add Real Leverage
• Immediate evidence preservation workflow (spoliation letters, ELD/black box/telematics preservation)
• FMCSA rules research and hours-of-service documentation tracking
• Defendant corporate-structure mapping for correct parties and service planning (attorney decisions)
• Maintenance and inspection log request tracking and chain-of-custody organization
• Venue and local-counsel pairing support for multi-state filing realities (attorney-controlled)

Motorcycle and Vulnerable-Party Cases: Narrative and Proof
Motorcycle cases are often fought with bias. The antidote is clean proof: scene evidence, visibility, speeds, helmet and gear documentation, and consistent medical causation support that the attorney controls.

Multi-State Reality: Local Counsel + Heavy Support
Commercial defendants and national insurers routinely cross state lines. Our model supports pairing local counsel who knows the courthouse with experienced co-counsel when needed — while MLE handles the operational grind so the case is not handed off to a billboard firm by default.

Recommended Specialized Sub-Lanes (Optional)
• Trucking and commercial vehicle
• Motorcycle and bicycle
• Premises liability and negligent security
• Dog bite or animal liability
• Catastrophic injury and TBI
• Wrongful death
• Product liability (higher complexity, case-by-case)

How the Financial Model Works
Clients retain you directly under your engagement agreement. Separately, you may contract with Modern Law Ecosystem for operational support through:
• monthly flat-rate plans (defined capacity or hours)
• per-matter support modules (records, billing, chronology, demand packet)
• litigation support modules (drafting support, exhibit binders, expert coordination)
• custom arrangements for high-volume, trucking, or catastrophic injury cases
Modern Law Ecosystem does not share in your legal fees, receive contingency payments, handle client settlement funds, or interfere with your attorney-client relationships or settlement authority.

Compliance Commitment
We maintain clear ethical boundaries:
• no client advice by non-lawyers
• no fee splitting
• no outcome guarantees
• no settlement negotiation by MLE staff
• attorney supervision of all substantive work
